Warsaw (Agenzia Fides) - The stories of missionaries in the world are the protagonists of the exhibition "Faces of the mission" organized by the Polish Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) on the occasion of the celebrations of this year (see Fides, 3/5/2022) and inaugurated last Sunday in the presence of Msgr. Dal Toso, President of the PMS. This is a traveling exhibition that will stop at some key places in the Polish capital for three months, then stay for a month in the Diocese of Kelce and continue to other parts of Poland. Sixteen panels telling sixteen stories of men and women who have made the mission their choice of life. Smiles and tears, moments of discouragement and joy enclosed in an exhibition that is an invitation to discover the beauty and richness of the missionary Church. In a brief but effective way, each panel tells a story, also accompanied by concrete data that give the measure of the support and help of the Catholic Church. From church-run orphanages, kindergartens and schools to the many projects of Polish missionaries on the subject of peace, justice, integral development, health, education, care of creation and the protection of children.
By scanning the QR code present on each panel, it will then be possible to access a film presenting the selected project, while by visiting the website or the YouTube channel, it will be possible to deepen the history of the proposed religious orders and their missionary initiatives. The words of Pope Francis, specially selected for each story and placed on each panel, will serve as a common thread. (EG) (Agenzia Fides, 8/6/2022)
