Posadas (Agenzia Fides) – "Proclaiming the Gospel involves certain efforts, and our station has also had its difficult moments. Nevertheless, we have moved forward with hope, and today we are here," said Bishop Juan Rubén Martínez of Posadas during a visit to Radio Tupambaé on the occasion of its 33rd anniversary.
"I have no doubt that Radio Tupambaé is a popular radio station with a missionary heart. It is present in the villages, in offices, in homes. It belongs to us, with our voices and our programming," he emphasized during a special broadcast for the occasion.
Bishop Martínez not only praised the station's role as a pastoral instrument of the Diocese of Posadas, but also emphasized the close ties it has built with the community over more than three decades since its founding in 1992 on the initiative of then-Bishop Carmelo Juan Giaquinta.
"The main component is those who listen, and there are many of them, and they are part of this story," he said, recalling the tireless work of the staff, volunteers, and supporters over the years and thanking the audience.
For three decades, "Radio Tupambaé" has combined the proclamation of the Gospel, information, and support for the community. The station broadcasts from Posadas and has expanded its reach through digital platforms. According to the bishop, this allows it to reach other locations outside the country.
