AFRICA/NIGERIA - Two nuns kidnapped in south-east Nigeria released

Abuja (Agenzia Fides) - "I am happy to announce that our dear sisters Vincentia Maria Nwankwo and Grace Mariette Okoli, kidnapped on the evening of January 7, 2025, have been unconditionally released and in good health". With these words, the Congregation of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Onitsha announced the release of the two sisters kidnapped on January 7 in the state of Anambra, in south-east Nigeria (see Fides, 9/1/2025).
