AFRICA/NIGERIA - After Father Joseph Akete Bako, another Priest Abducted in Kaduna State

Abuja (Agenzia Fides) - Another priest has been kidnapped in Nigeria. It is Father Felix Zakari Fidson, from the diocese of Zaria, in the state of Kaduna, in the north of the country. According to a statement sent to Agenzia Fides, Father Felix Zakari Fidson was kidnapped yesterday, March 24, immediately after leaving his residence. "We ask the prayers of the faithful for the release of Fr. Felix Zakari Fidson and other abductees, on this day of the Solemnity of the Annunciation", concludes the statement signed by the Chancellor of the diocese of Zaria, Fr. Patrick Adikwu Odeh. We recall that on March 8, Fr. Joseph Akete Bako, parish priest of St John's Catholic Church in Kudenda, also in Kaduna State, was abducted. (see Fides, 9/3/2022). (L.M.) (Agenzia Fides, 25/3/2022)
