La Paz (Fides Service) - On the occasion of the death of Pope John Paul the Bishops’ Conference of Bolivia issued a statement in which it affirmed “the people of Bolivia have vivid memories of his unforgettable visit to our country. Pope John Paul II who has departed for the house of God the Father, leaves a great emptiness in the Church and in the world”. The Bishops encourage the faithful to pray for the Pope in the certainty that “now with the saints in heaven Pope John Paul II will continue to guide us on our earthly journey”. (R.Z.)
