Montevideo (Agenzia Fides) - The new website of Caritas Uruguayan offers all the information on its activities in an ordered structure, and is dynamic and colorful. The site is organized to inform about the most serious situations of the population, trying to mobilize all web surfers on the need to offer a small contribution in the spirit of Christian charity. Collaborators are now preparing the map of assistance, aid, and development projects that Caritas in Uruguay continues to carry out, thanks to donor aid. The site has several sections: News, What is Caritas, Projects, Members, Where it is present, the Working Group, Photo Gallery, and the opportunity to help directly, even by telephone. Although relatively young, Caritas has been working in Uruguay since 1962 and is a body of the Uruguayan Bishops' Conference and member of the Caritas Internationalis Confederation. Its goal is to work in the construction of social justice and human dignity. Caritas works in synergy with other institutions in order to integrate the perspective of the Gospel and the promotion of the needy. (CE) (Agenzia Fides 14/12/2009)
