Czestochowa (Agenzia Fides) – The Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) of the Archdiocese of Czestochowa have formed new “Living Rosary” groups, formed by children and young people, and “Missionary Rosary” groups within parishes and schools of the Archdiocese. The PMS has also organized the project of making a “Rosary Prayer Book for the Missions.” The Prayer Book will hold prayers of the children and youth for the intentions of the Church and the missions, as well as for the beatification and canonization of Servant of God John Paul II. “We want to offer our 'Book' to the Holy Father as the gift of prayer from the PMS and the Archdiocese of Czestochowa, on the day of John Paul II's Beatification. Our 'Book' will also be a spiritual gift of the prayers of the children and youth for the mission of the Church,” Fr. Jacek Gancarek, Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in the Archdiocese of Czestochowa, told Agenzia Fides. The Archdiocese of Czestochowa now has Missionary Rosary groups of children and young people in nearly 70 parishes and 50 schools. (MF/SL) (Agenzia Fides 3/2/2009)
