VATICAN - INDIAN PRIESTS, SISTERS AND BROTHERS UNION HOLDS CHRISTMAS-CULTURAL-HOMECOMING-FEST-2003

Vatican City (Fides Service) – On 14 December, at the Pontifical Angelicum University in Rome, The Indian Priests, Sisters and Brothers Union IPSBU held a Christmas-Cultural-Homecoming-Fest-2003 event. The Union, founded in 1950 by Cardinal Simon Lourdusamy, former Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples whose motto is “SERVIRE DEO ET INDIAE”. IPSBU, today has about 1,500 members who are in Rome for pastoral work or study.
The purpose of IPSBU is to unite persons from the same national, religious, intellectual, and cultural backgrounds in view of building friendship and community spirit and enriching sharing experience. IPSBU collaborates with similar church associations to build communion and unity in diversity.
Christmas-Cultural-Homecoming-Fest-2003 opened with a Symposium “The Life and Mission of Mother Teresa”, Albanian born missionary Sister in India who was beatified 19 October this year. On the occasion of Christmas-Cultural-Homecoming-Fest-2003 Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, sent a Message of Christmas wishes.
