Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On 26 September 2023, Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, appointed the Rev. Fr. Peter Ephraim Madeya of the clergy of Dezda as National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in Malawi for a five-year period.
Born on October 10, 1981, Fr. Madeya was ordained a priest on August 20, 2011. He was deputy parish priest and parish priest in two parishes. He is currently parish priest, diocesan director of the PMS, president of the Diocesan FIA board, Deputy Secretary and Secretary for the Diocesan Projects Commission. (E.G.)
