Manama (Agenzia Fides) - Four days of sharing, prayer, joy, music and celebration for the 1,155 participants of the "Awakening 2024" children and youth meeting.

The event, organized in the Vicariate of Northern Arabia, was attended by children and young people from the Sacred Heart Parish in Manama and the parish of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia in Awali.

It was a meeting where the participants could share faith and fraternity. The event was organized by the missionary youth movement "Anointing Fire Catholic Youth Ministry" (AFCYM) from the United States, with a variety of exciting activities designed for different age groups.

The aim of the "Awakening 2024" event, held in the Sacred Heart parish, was to "create an educational environment in which children and young people can explore their faith in everyday life, exchange ideas with their peers, deepen their relationship with spirituality and create lasting memories," says the Vicariate led by Bishop Aldo Berardi (O.SS.T). "During the meeting, activities and programs were developed that would appeal to the minds and hearts of young people."

"The entire community of the Sacred Heart parish is committed to the spiritual growth and development of young people and is grateful for the partnership with the AFCYM in the hope of continuing to hold events that promote the faith of our children and young people," the statement concludes.
