Bogota (Agenzia Fides) - The official figures of the Development Bogota Humana Plan on the poverty of many inhabitants of the town of Santa Fe and Chapinero are not positive. Daily wage or by instalments, loans, and the lack of a pension for those over 60, are, according to local administrative sources, the three factors that have increased poverty in these areas.
The local news bulletin of Encuesta Multipropósito show a growth of poverty among poor families in Chapinero from 1.3% in 2011 to 2.4% in 2014. In Santa Fe, 34.1 % of households were considered poor in 2011, while the figure rose to 37.3% in 2014. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 16/11/2015)
