Ouagadougou (Agenzia Fides) - Roch Marc Christian Kaboré was elected President of Burkina Faso in the first round of the presidential elections which were held on November 29 (see Fides 30/11/2015). Kaboré obtained 53.49% of the votes against 30% won by his main opponent, Zéphirin Diabré. The latter, along with other candidates, immediately recognized the victory of Kaboré. (L.M.)
