Nairobi (Agenzia Fides) - In a few days the Pope will arrive in Africa, and everything is ready to welcome him. The organizers are working hard to ensure that the historic visit will occur smoothly.
In the slums of Kibagare, 28 children of the Pontifical Holy Childhood of St. Catherine of Siena Church will be among the few to have the privilege of a direct contact with the Pope. The children are between seven and 12 years of age.
They come from the slums and were called and prepared by volunteers of the Holy Childhood to meet the Pope, who expressed a desire to meet children from poor areas.
The Pontifical Mission Societies teach the Catholic faith to children, promote their rights and help them in education, and provide assistance in situations where they are suffering because of various reasons. (CE) (Agenzia Fides 21/11/2015)
