AMERICA/BOLIVIA - The Pontifical Mission Societies in Bolivia towards the American Missionary Congress

Cochabamba (Agenzia Fides) - Sister Cilenia Rojas, National Coordinator of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Bolivia praised the interest and encouragement expressed by the Bolivian Bishops before the news that Bolivia will host the next American Missionary Congress (CAM), scheduled in 2018. "With a great sense of responsibility", said the religious to Agenzia Fides "our Bishops were the first, during the meetings, to highlight and discuss the organization and the steps that have to be made along with the members of the committees involved in the organization of CAM". Sister Rojas took part in the assembly of the Bolivian episcopate in progress in Cochabamba, where she was able to inform the Bishops about the first steps already undertaken and to be taken in view of the American Missionary Congress. In particular, she referred to the Missiology Symposium held in Puerto Rico last October and the upcoming "First National Symposium of Missiology", scheduled from November 11 to 13, at Seminario Mayor Nacional San José in Cochabamba, which will also be attended by the diocesan directors of the Pontifical Mission Societies.
