St. Gallen (Agenzia Fides) - The Presidency of the Council of the European Episcopal Conferences (CCEE), today sent a letter to Metropolitan Hilarion, President of the Department for External Relations of the Patriarchate of Moscow, expressing his "deep concern for the numerousand increasing manifestations of discrimination against Christians in various countries, and the spread of anti Christian feelings and against the Church, especially in the Russian Federation over the past months. "The statement sent to Fides Agency continues: relatively to the growing manifestations of hatred against Christianity in the Russian Federation, the President of the CCEE rejects "the tendency to consider as an expression of artistic freedom and expression, acts of incitement or exploitation of religion with the purpose of provocation to undermine religious peace or to incite hatred against religious presence in public life."
