ASIA/CHINA - About 10 thousand faithful went to the Marian Shrine of Hu Xian for the feast of Our Lady of China

Hu Xian (Agenzia Fides) - Nearly 10,000 faithful from all parts of China, went on the pilgrimage to the Marian Shrine of Hu Xian, in the province of Shaan Xi, for the feast of Our Lady of China , celebrated on May 12 , in preparation for world Day of Prayer for the Church in China on May 24. According to what was reported to Fides by Faith of He Bei, about sixty priests followed for the celebration of Mass in the Sanctuary. They all stressed the importance of prayer for the Church in China, as recommended by the Holy Father Benedict XVI, invoking the protection of Mary, “because with the intercession of Our Lady, we can overcome all evil and difficulty with wisdom, courage and strength “; ”so that non-Christians can get closer to the Church and get to know Christ. “
