Wednesday, 4 April 2012

Lima (Agenzia Fides) - The Episcopal Conference of Peru informs, through a joint statement to Fides, the extensive media coverage, that the Holy Week celebrations presided by the Holy Father, will have this year in Peru. Several television channels have planned live coverage of the celebrations presided by the Pope in Rome. Before this year only a few people in Peru were given the opportunity to follow via cable or through payment, some transmissions of the rites of Holy week broadcast by Rai International. Among the channels that have entered into their schedule the transmission of the Easter rites of Rome, is ATV - Channel 9, which will broadcast the traditional Way of the Cross at the Colosseum presided by the Pope. Global TV network - Channel 13 will broadcast, on Sunday, April 8, the Easter Mass celebrated by the Holy Father in St. Peter. Other channels have ensured the transmission of the main celebrations of the Paschal Triduum. All this, as the note says, is thanks to agreements between the Vatican Television Center and all Latin American countries that want to broadcast the celebrations of the Holy Father via satellite.
