Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) - The experience of the lay missionaries of the Commission for the Diocesan Youth Pastoral helps the young of Hong Kong to live more in a Christian spirit, especially in the Year of the Laity. According to reports from the Kong Ko Bao (Chinese version of the diocesan bulletin), from October to May, the Commission for the diocesan Youth Pastoral has invited several diocesan lay missionaries who spent a period in their lives in mission countries, such as Cambodia, to share their experience with students of 12 Catholic schools in Hong Kong. The initiative had a great success. According to the Head of the Commission, "it is very difficult to convince local youth without an eloquent testimony. The lay missionaries brought all they had personally experienced. Through their service and their very presence they brought the Love of Christ to others by living the Christian spirit. From the students' concentrationin listening to them, we perceived that the seeds of evangelization are taking root in their hearts. "Furthermore, the response to the missionary call made them reflect on the meaning of life and Christian identity. (NZ) (Agenzia Fides 30/3/2012)
