AMERICA/CHILE - More than 100 animators participated in the VI National Meeting of Missionary Childhood

San Felipe (Agenzia Fides) - More than a hundred animators and leaders of the Pontifical Society of Missionary Childhood, from 17 among dioceses and prelatures around the whole of Chile, gathered from 6 to 8 January for the sixth National Meeting of the Animators of Missionary Childhood (Enaim 2012) at the Institute Pascual Baburrizza, in the province of Los Andes.
Father Gianluca Roso, National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS), held the first conference entitled: "Walking with Jesus in the Holy Childhood", then Joyce Ledger and Viviana Schultz, of the DAS (Social Action Commission for Catholic Prison Pastoral Care) , presented the group work on the theme "Development of skills and management of conflicts"; and finally Sister Patricia Ferrick, diocesan coordinator of Holy Childhood and of the PMS, led a discussion on "Missionary Disciples in the school of Mary".
During the first day of the meeting a moment of prayer in the midst of nature was held, while some priests confessed the participants. On Saturday afternoon, January 7, the group visited "Santo Cristo de Madeira" in Putaendo, therefore had the opportunity to make a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Saint Teresa of the Andes in Auco, and participate in the Eucharist presided by Mgr.Cristian Contreras Molina, O.de M., Bishop of San Felipe, which was also attended by Mgr. Jorge Patricio Vega Velasco, S.V.D, Bishop Prelate of Illapel, former director of the PMS. (CE) (Agenzia Fides 12/01/2012)
