Tian Jin (Agenzia Fides) - "They witness faith and preach Christ just like the Apostles": with these motivations 350 faithful adults of the parish of Xiao Han Cun, of the Diocese of Tian Jin, received the Sacrament of Confirmation, on Saturday 10 December. According to what Faith said in the bulletin of He Bei to Fides, after an intense spiritual preparation, the parish welcomed with joy the 350 faithful adults. According to the pastor, "among them there are many faithful who, for various reasons (professional commitments, spiritual crisis, etc.), had left the Church ignoring the path of every baptized Christian. Through a preparatory course, not only did it bring them close again to the Church, but also awakened in them the true meaning of faith: they understood and explored the Sacrament of Confirmation".
The village of Xiao Han is a historic Catholic agglomeration and has over 5,000 faithful. Besides being the largest community of the Diocese of Tian Jin, it is also a cradle for vocations. According to the "Guide to the Catholic Church in China," the diocesan community of Tian Jin has over 100,000 faithful, about thirty priests, and about forty belonging to the Community Sisters of Charity, as well as a few dozen seminarians.
