Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) - For the pastors of Hong Kong, the faithful involved in the drafting and publication of parish newsletters, both papery and online, show a strong sense of belonging to the community. Consequently, many parishes of the diocese promote the participation of their parishioners to the publication of bulletins. According to reports from the Kong Ko Bao (Chinese version of the diocesan bulletin) "Catholic parish newsletters are not only instruments of evangelization through the media, but they are also excellent tools to help members learn about the life of the parish, a channel for dialogue among priests and the faithful, and also a great testimony of faith". The faithful lay are invaluable resources to transform high-level publication designs through the use of digital tools and new technologies ... According to one of the priests "thanks to the newsletter online, many parishioners who have emigrated abroad are always close to their parish, it also offers many witness of faith in their new living environment, so the ratio narrows even more and also helps global evangelization". Another pastor said: "The young people we have invited to give their technical contribution feel valued and recognized. They feel a strong sense of responsibility and belonging to the community, so we have encouraged their faith". (NZ) (Agenzia Fides 23/11/2011)
