Cotabato (Agenzia Fides) - The investigation into the murder of Fr. Fausto Tentorio is underway and there is in Mindanao, a large island in the southern Philippines, a widespread desire for justice and peace: according to brother, Father Peter Geremia PIME, Fr. Fausto’s sacrifice may be a harbinger of a new era of peace in Mindanao, thanks to the cooperation of all stakeholders and protagonists.

Peter in a note sent to Fides - praise the testimony of Fr -Fausto and his service to the people. All converge and come together to support his work in favor of the latter. This is a sign of a possible direction for peace process. Anyone can join the movement "Sowing the seeds of peace" in the spirit of Fr. Pops". Fr. Peter Geremia belongs to "Sowing the seeds of peace" which is a movement that promotes, together with a network of other organizations, peace on the island of Mindanao, supporting the negotiations between the Philippine government and Islamic rebels, and those between the Philippine Government and communist rebels.
