Tai Pei (Agenzia Fides) - "Catholic funeral liturgy and Inculturation" is the theme of the 15th Asian Liturgy Forum that is taking place in Tai Pei, from October 17 to 21, sponsored by the Liturgical Commission of the Episcopal Regional Conference of Taiwan. According to information Fides gathered, there are about sixty Catholic Liturgy experts (Bishops, priests, religious women and laity) from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand, taking part in the five day analysis, study and discussion. The first Asian Liturgy Forum was held in the Philippines in 1996. Its main objective is to discuss specific topics among experts in the liturgy of the region; to study the principles and guidelines of the liturgy of the universal Church, taking into account the liturgy of the local Church.
