According to information gathered by Fides, in a statement signed by the Secretary-General, the Episcopal Conference invites each diocese to attend the Congress "to prepare spiritually for the journey to Dublin and further promote Eucharistic devotion." In preparation for the 50th International Eucharistic Congress to be held in Dublin 10 to 17 June 2012 on the theme "The Eucharist: Communion with Christ and among ourselves," Archbishop John Hung, Archbishop of Tai Pei and President of the Regional Episcopal Conference Taiwan has issued a pastoral letter. During the Annual Meeting of the Regional Episcopal Conference of Taiwan, the Bishops have decided that Bishop John Baptist Lee, Bishop of the Diocese of Hsin Chu as well as head of the family and lay people, will lead the delegation of Taiwan to the 50 th Congress International Eucharistic.
