Asuncion (Agenzia Fides) - The Conference of the Religious of Paraguay is celebrating its institutional assembly which has programmed an analysis of the national and ecclesial realities. In fact, this meeting will address issues concerning democracy, education, youth and evangelism. The meeting is being held at the Teresian school and ends on Thursday, July 14. In these 3 days of work the religious men and women of the country will reflect on the legacy received in the last 200 years in the three fields of social and ecclesial life: citizenship and democracy, youth and education, evangelization.
At the opening of the meeting His Exc. Mgr. Claudio Gimenez, vice president of the Episcopal Conference of Paraguay, presided over the Eucharistic celebration. Three speakers have been invited to illustrate the three key themes. There will also be presentations of different experiences, such as CAMSAT Tacumbú area, then "A Roof for my Country", from the church communities: Ava Guarani of Alto Paraná, from the Centro de Estudios Paraguayos Antonio Guash, the parish Virgin Maria Reina de Lambaré and from the school center Apu'a Nu in Chaco. On Wednesday 13 in the afternoon, participants will go in procession to the cathedral where a Mass will be celebrated. (EC) (Agenzia Fides 13/07/2011)
