Bogota (Agenzia Fides) - From 4 to 8 July the Assembly of the Episcopal Conference of Colombia (ECC) will take place in Bogota. The meeting relies on the presence of 96 Bishops that represent the 76 ecclesial jurisdictions across the country. According to the note sent to Fides, in the context of the Assembly of Bishops, on Tuesday, July 5 the special act of commemoration for the 25th anniversary of the visit to Colombia of Blessed John Paul II will be held. The ceremony, entitled "John Paul II with the peace of Christ through the streets of Colombia", will start at 2.30pm in the Luis Angel Arango Library, in the presence of important personalities. Immediately after there will be a Mass at the Cathedral of Bogotá, presided by Mgr. Ruben Salazar Gomez, Archbishop of Bogotá and Chairman of the ECC. (EC) (Agenzia Fides 04/07/2011)
