Delegates have come from 22 countries and during the meeting they will reflect on the realities of missionary work throughout the American continent (see Fides 11/3/2011).
The inaugural Mass was celebrated in the chapel of the “John XXIII” House, in Santa Cruz, presided over by the Apostolic Nuncio, who during his homily stated that the proposed work, the mission, is an act inspired by the Spirit which began with the birth of the Church itself and which will continue until the end by the Spirit of God. And we are instruments in this work.
