Brasilia (Agenzia Fides) – From February 12 to 15, the National Headquarters of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS), in Brasilia, will host the 2nd National Meeting of the General Coordinators of the Youth Missionary. To stimulate reflection, they have chosen the theme "Characteristics of Youth Missionary Spirituality" and the motto "Called and Sent to All Peoples" (cf. Lk 4:18).
The program features moments of spirituality and mission education, presentation of projects and work of the Youth Missionary in each state, the evaluation of the meetings and materials used by young missionaries, exchange of experiences, etc. During the three days of work, they will also examine the songs sent in response to a competition launched for the production of the first CD of the National Youth Missionary Association.
"The Youth Missionary Association is present throughout Brazil. This meeting aims at strengthening links between the general coordinator and the PMS, and we expect it to become also a moment of reflection, evaluation, and planning for the future," said Rodrigo Alves, representative of the Youth Missionary Association in Sao Paulo.
