VATICAN - Sunday, April 26: Canonization of five Blesseds in Saint Peter's Square

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – On April 26, 2009, 3rd Sunday of Easter, at 10am, the Holy Father Benedict XVI will celebrate Mass in Saint Peter's Square and will preside the Canonization of five Blesseds: Arcangelo Tadini, (1846-1912), priest, founder of the Congregation of Worker Sisters of the Holy House of Nazareth; Bernardo Tolomei (1272-1348), Abbot, founder of the Olivetan Benedictine Congregation; Nuno De Santa Maria Álvares Pereira (1360-1431), religious of the Order of Friars of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel; Gertrude Comensoli (1847-1903), virgin and foundress of the Institute of Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament; Caterina Volpicelli (1839-1894), virgin and foundress of the Institute of Handmaidens of the Sacred Heart.
