Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - Cardinal Ivan Dias Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples on 1 September 2006, appointed Rector of Kwangju Inter-Diocesan Seminary (Korea) Rev. Joseph Jung Sung-hyun, of the diocesan clergy of Jeonju.
The new Rector was born on 20 October 1945 at Jeonbuck. He studied for the priesthood at Kwangju Regional Major Seminary (1964/1974). He was ordained a priest on 3 July 1974. He has since been: assistant priest and parish priest in various parishes; vice director and director of the pastoral department of the diocese of Jeonju, army chaplain.
