Jerusalem (Agenzia Fides) - On October 25, 2024, Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization (Section for the first Evangelization and the New Particular Churches), appointed Rev. Fr. Koubrianos Hanna Koubrianos O.C.D. as national director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) of the Holy Land, for five years.
The new director is 44 years old and has been a priest for 13 years, he studied in Rome at the "Teresianum" where he obtained a Licentiate in theology (2002-2007), while he was in Rome he also served as spiritual assistant for a scout group (2004-2007). He holds a diploma in spiritual support from the "Saint Joseph" University of Beirut, Lebanon and a master's degree in educational administration from the "Saint Esprit" University of Kaslik in Lebanon (2009-2012).
School director at Al Carmelia, Lebanon (2010-2020), he was an art teacher at the "Carmel School" in Haifa (2020-21). Since 2022 he has been the parish priest of the "St Joseph" parish in Haifa-Israel. (EG) (Agenzia Fides, 13/11/2024)
