Antananarivo (Agenzia Fides) - For five days, journalists from the Radio Don Bosco station participated in a training course on basic photography and video techniques through the practice of 'MoJo' (Mobile Journalism). This journalistic modality, which uses mobile phones, is a significant commitment of the Salesians of Don Bosco in the communication field.

“This approach is a valuable resource for agile and effective communication, especially in contexts with limited structural resources,” say the missionaries who have completed the workshop in Madagascar. Mobile journalism has gained popularity due to its low production costs and its ability to deliver up-to-date information through social media and online platforms. This technique allows journalists to react quickly and flexibly to events, working directly from the location where the event takes place.

The participants of the training course, facilitated among others by Fr. Maciej Makuła, SDB, learned to use various computer programs for the production of short videos, as well as to take photographs and record videos from different perspectives.

In line with this theme, the Salesians of Don Bosco are organizing the 2024 Communication Conference “SHAPING TOMORROW”, which will be held from August 1 to 7, 2024, at the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS) in Rome. (AP) (Agenzia Fides, 16/7/2024)
