Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On June 22, 2023, Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, appointed Rev. Sac. Stanislaus Chinliankhup, as Rector of Oriens Theological College (OTC), an interdiocesan Seminary in the North East of India, in the Archdiocese of Shillong, The new Rector, of the clergy of Im l, is 49 years of age and has been a priest for 18 years. He obtained a licentiate in theology at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium and a doctorate in theology at the Philosophisch-Teologische Hochshule Vallendar in Germany. He speaks Zou, Kuki, Manipur, English, Hindi and German. He was Deputy Parish priest and Secretary to the Archbishop. Since 2018, he has been Vice Rector of the Seminary in question.
