Amman (Agenzia Fides) - The Synod Coordinating Committee set up by the Patriarchal Vicariate for Jordan of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem has also released a questionnaire in digital electronic version with the aim of collecting ideas, contributions and considerations of the baptized Catholics of the Kingdom Hashemite prepared with the aim of collecting the ideas, contributions and considerations of Catholics baptized from the Hashemite Kingdom on certain pastoral issues at the heart of the synodal process undertaken within the Catholic Church, in view of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, scheduled for Rome in October 2023 and devoted to the theme "for a synodal Church": Communion, participation and mission". The initiative also aims to strengthen the perception that an authentic synodal journey involves the participation and involvement of all the baptized, and it is necessary to save this journey from the risk of being reduced to a simple stage for individuals and elite groups absorbed full time in activities promoted by ecclesial bodies and structures.
The Questionnaire - reports the Arab information site abouna.org - is divided into a series of questions aimed at bringing out the questions, expectations and proposals of each baptized person in relation to his or her bond with the ecclesial community, the dynamics of the mission and proclamation of the Gospel, the initiatives of charity and forms of exercising authority in the Church.
