San Pedro Sula (Agenzia Fides) - In his traditional Christmas message, the Bishop of the diocese of San Pedro Sula, His Exc. Mgr. Ángel Garachana Pérez, reminded everyone that Jesus Christ is the face of the Father's mercy and that it is urgent and necessary for Honduras to leave violence and live reconciliation.
In the message, Mgr. Garachana Pérez also refers to the Jubilee of Mercy which has just begun: "to be merciful - the Bishop writes - means weaving family and social relationships of love, forgiveness and reconciliation. Forgiveness is the clearest expression of loving mercy, and for us Christians it is an imperative that we cannot do without".
"In this holiday season, it is important to leave resentment, violence and revenge, because only then we can create the conditions for a happy life. A time of reconciliation and peace is urgent and necessary for our Honduras", concluded the Bishop. (CE) (Agenzia Fides 23/12/2015)
