AFRICA/GHANA - New rector of St. Victor major inter-diocesan Seminary in Tamale

Vatican City (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples on 29 April 2005 appointed Rector of St. Victor major inter-diocesan Seminary in Tamale Ghana, Rev. Cletus Kuusuenyee Kulah of the diocesan clergy of Wa.
The new rector was born on 14 August 1961 at Baazi. He attended minor seminary at Wa (1974/80) and then major seminary in Tamale (1980/88), and later studied at the Pontifical College of S. Anselmo in Rome (1990/93) and the Pontifical Gregorian University (1998). He was ordained on 8 December 1988. Since his ordination he has been assistant priest in various parishes and since 2000, professor of liturgy at Tamale major seminary. In the diocese of Wa he taught at the Pastoral and Social Institute and at St. Michael’s Seminary, and was Master of Liturgical Celebrations and liturgical animator and supervisor of the department for social communications. At the national level he has been part of the preparatory commission for the 2nd National Eucharistic Congress (1994/1998), national liturgy commission (1994/2000) and in 1998 he represented the Catholic Bishops Conference of Ghana at and ICEL meeting in Washington.
