AMERICA/BOLIVIA - Representatives of the Commission for the inter-institutional relations of CAM 5 elected

Cochabamba (Agenzia Fides) - During the preparatory meeting of the V American Missionary Congress (CAM 5) held yesterday, April 13, at the Cardinal Maurer house, in Cochabamba, the President and Secretary of the Commission for inter-institutional relations were elected and a number of initiatives to ensure communication with the various national and international institutions were pinpointed. As the letter sent to Fides from Bolivia reports, His Exc. Mgr. Jesús Juárez Párraga, S.D.B., Bishop of Sucre, was elected Chairman of the Committee and Carlos Busch as Secretary.
Busch said that he will still coordinate the missionary initiatives with various national and international institutions, citing as an example the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) and the Bishops' Conferences of the Americas. He will also have to maintain contact with the National Immigration Service and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with regards to the request of visas for Catholic volunteers, priests and religious who will arrive in the country to attend the Congress.
