Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, Cardinal Fernando Filoni, on June 8, 2012 appointed Rev. Leonardo Rodriguez, of the diocesan clergy of Canelones as National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Uruguay for the years 2012-2017.
The new National Director is 39 years old and was ordained a priest 9 years ago. He is currently parish priest of Santa Isabel de Hungria; Vicar of the pastoral care; Diocesan Director of Missions; National Secretary of the Pontifical Missionary Union. (S.L.) (Agenzia Fides 25/7/2012)
