Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, on June 3, 2011 appointed Rev. Faustine Lucas Lobo, of the diocesan clergy of Mangalore as national Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in India for the years 2011-2016,.
The new National Director was born on April 22, 1963 and was ordained a priest on May 10, 1990. Among the positions held: he was Assistant pastor and Pastor in the diocese of Mangalore; from 1998 to 2005 Secretary of the Mangalore Diocesan Finance Committee and member of the Diocesan Pastoral Council; Coordinator of the Karnataka Regional Pastoral Plan Implementation Committee; Counselor of Caritas India in Karnataka; in charge of public relations of the Conference of Bishops of Karnataka.
