Brasilia (Agenzia Fides) - Father Alessander Carregari Capalbo, director of Radio Maria do Brasil, told Fides that from May 1, to coincide with the beatification of John Paul II, Radio Maria began broadcasting on the 107.9 FM frequency. Radio Maria is a Catholic radio in the service of evangelization, it is based on the service of volunteers and volunteer donations of its listeners. Its programs are geared to prayer, education, human development, with particular attention to those who suffer. For a year in Brazil Radio Maria broadcast its programs live on the Internet, and since yesterday, Sunday, May 1, more than two million people in Brasilia and its outskirts, can tune on their radio to 107.9 FM frequency. The listeners of other regions and countries can continue to follow the program live via the website. As written by the Director, Fr. Carregari Capalbo, as an instrument of the new evangelization, Radio Maria renews its commitment to proclaim the good news. The work of the apostolate is impossible without trust in Divine Providence, without love for the Virgin Mary and without the efforts of the volunteers that make this station the Christian Family Radio .
