Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – Card. Ivan Dias, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, on 28 August 2010, appointed as National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Madagascar, for the period 2010-2015, Fr Simon Raphael Randrianalimanana, from the clergy of the Diocese of Tsiroanomandidy.
The new National Director was born on 9 September 1961 and ordained a priest on 3 April 1993. Following various pastoral ministries, he became a teacher at the Major Seminary of Antsirabé, and from this year, Assistant at DIDEC (the Catholic teaching body of the Episcopal Conference of Madagascar).
