Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – Cardinal Ivan Dias, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, on October 21, 2010, appointed as National Director of Pontifical Mission Societies in Poland for a five-year period (2010-2015), Fr. Tomasz Atlas, of the clergy of the Diocese of Tarnow.
The new National Director was born January 23, 1974 and was ordained a priest on May 22, 1999. For three years he was a missionary in the Republic of Congo, Secretary of the Bishops' Commission for Missions, and co-founder of the Association of Polish Missiologists. He is currently Professor of Missiology at Cardinal Wyszynski University in Warsaw. (S.L.) (Agenzia Fides 08/11/2010)
