ASIA/TAIWAN - Commitment to Christianizing the family is a journey that should never end

Tuesday, 21 September 2010

Kaohsiung (Agenzia Fides) – "The courses dedicated to Christianizing the family have ended, but the effort to Christianize the family is a journey that should never end." This was how Archbishop Peter Liu of the Diocese of Kaohsiung opened his letter to the priests and faithful of the diocese, signed September 6, at the end of the courses. According to information received by Fides, Archbishop Liu pointed out in its letter that "when there is a healthy family, there is a healthy church," and highlighted the fact that all nine deaneries could hold the courses prepared by the Diocesan Commission for the Family, on the happiness of couples who build their family in Christ and the integral development of children in the “Christianized” family. Finally, the Archbishop urged everyone to continue praying, because "prayer is the source of evangelization," and is also a source of strength in the journey to build the Christian family.
From August 2009 to July 2010, the Diocese of Kaohsiung held courses on the construction of the family converted to Christianity in nine deaneries. Now the evangelization of the family continues with the course on the happiness of the family, whose theme is: "Working together to build a living marriage, to live in love for life" and will be held from September 24 to December 10, 2010. Every Friday evening, all the faithful of the diocese are invited to the course. (NZ) (Agenzia Fides 21/09/2010)
