Saturday, 13 March 2010

Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) – The Youth Ministry Commission of the Diocese of Hong Kong has been preparing the youth of Hong Kong for the XXV World Youth Day (WYD), which is celebrated this year, at a diocesan level, on March 28, Palm Sunday, with the theme indicated by the Holy Father Benedict XVI: "Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" (Mark 10:17). According to information issued by the Commission, Fr. Philip Chan Tak Hung, adviser to the Diocesan Catechetical Center will lead the celebration in the Parish of St. Patrick on the afternoon of March 28, inviting all young people ages 12 to 35 to participate. Through this celebration, we want to experience the bond that unites young people of Hong Kong with the Universal Church. The procession will start from the Parish of St. Patrick, with the hope to live even a short experience of pilgrimage. Fr. Philip Chan will help young people in exploring the nature and history of World Youth Day, praising the Lord with prayer and sacred songs to reflect on the meaning of life, focusing on the theme of this year.
