Thursday, 21 January 2010

Vinto (Agenzia Fides) – The youth of the Bolivian Youth Vocation Ministry gathered in Vinto last week, for the first national meeting of 2010. The young people came with great enthusiasm and great desire to strengthen the theme of the Permanent Mission. The meeting focused on the contributions of youth ministry in view of the III Latin American Youth Congress, to be held in September in Venezuela.
Work will be developed at two levels: diocesan and national levels. "We are aware that at a national level, an essential part of this process is to know and love Jesus to become his disciples-missionaries, we realized that the participants in this meeting are young people who have a training process in place," said Rosemary Saum, the Executive Secretary of the Ecclesial Communion Department of the Bolivian Bishops' Conference.
The assets of all the testimony presented, the team has selected 20 national experiences were recorded and then sent to the CELAM website, with the goal of sharing these testimonies with other young people from Latin America. Young people are eager to do something, not only participate in the Latin American Congress, but ensure that their voices were heard in this Congress. In this regard, the group organizer from CELAM has assigned some themes for the discussions to different countries. Bolivia has received the theme: "Dimension of faith and relationship with the cosmos," so at this meeting Vinto was developed a project with the theme of God's creation and man as caretaker of creation. Thus, the Youth Vocation Ministry begins its journey with two main objectives: the Permanent Mission and the Congress for young Latin Americans. (CE) (Agenzia Fides 21/01/2010)
