Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI on 24 October 2008, accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the Diocese of Indore (India) presented by Bishop George M. Anathil, S.V.D., in conformity with the Code of Canon Law, canon 401 § 1. The Holy Father appointed as Bishop of Indore, on the same day, Bishop Chacko Thottumarickal, S.V.D., who until now has served as Bishop of Jhabua. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 27/10/2008)
