National Director of Pontifical Mission Societies confirmed

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - Cardinal Ivan Dias, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, on 23 November 2007, appointed Rev.do Osvaldo Pablo Leone, of the diocesan clergy of Rio Quarto, Argentina, National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Guatemala for a five year term (2007-2012).
The new National Director was born on 5 January 1971 at Rio Cuarto (Cordoba). He studied philosophy and theology at Jesus Buen Pastor Seminary in Rio Cuarto. He was ordained a priest on 12 October 1996. He has since ministered as follows: assistant parish priest (1996/97); parish priest (1998/2006); member and secretary of the diocesan council of priests (2001-2004); member and secretary of the college of consultors (2001-2006).
