Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - Cardinal Ivan Dias prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, on 1 October 2007 appointed Rev. José Rodolfo Moreno Ríos of the archdiocesan clergy of Panama, National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Panama for a five year term (2007-2012).
The new national director was born on 11 January 1966 in Panama City. He was ordained a priest on 13 April 1996 for the archdiocese of Panama. He has since ministered as followed: Assistant priest (1996/1998) parish priest (1998/2001) at the parish of San José. Since 2001 bursar, spiritual director, professor of Latin and Greek at the National Major Seminary.
