AFRICA/ZIMBABWE - New National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies appointed

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - Cardinal Ivan Dias prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples on 12 October 2007 appointed Rev. Davison Lukio of the archdiocesan clergy of Harare, National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Zimbabwe for a five year term (2008-2013).
The new national director was born on 26 April 1969 at Harare Hospital. After primary and secondary school he entered Chimaninmani preparatory seminary (1990), and the went to Chishawasha Major Seminary to study philosophy (1991/93) and theology (1995/98). He was ordained a priest on 15 January 1999 at Kambuzuma and has since ministered as follows: assistant priest, Spiritual director for young people and vocations director, assistant in the office of the Archbishop; 2005-2006 religious formation course in Dublin.
