OCEANIA/AUSTRALIA - Catholic Bishops prepare Statement for Social Justice Sunday 30 September 2007

Sydney (Agenzia Fides) - The Australian Catholic Social Justice Council is now preparing for the launch of the Australia Catholic Bishops' 2007 Social Justice Sunday Statement in September. In this year's Statement, Who Is My Neighbour? Australia's role as a global citizen, the Bishops reflect on our engagement as Christians and Australian citizens on issues of social justice around the world.. Social Justice Sunday will be celebrated on 30 September. The Statement will be launched in the week prior to Social Justice Sunday. Hard copies of the Statement can be ordered through the
Australian Catholic Social Justice Council. (www.socialjustice.catholic.org.au) which will freely supply suggestions for Liturgy on Social Justice Sunday and material for teachers.
